Campus Signage
BYU–Hawaii requires all departments to abide by the campus signage standards and requirements to provide a uniform and cohesive wayfinding system. See below for specific information on department and employee office signage and how to place an order.
Employee Office Signage for Enclosed Spaces
How to Order
All standardized employee office signage must be ordered through BYUH Print Services. When placing your order, please provide them with the needed information and attach an image of the signage that needs to be updated/replaced.
Needed Information
- Employee's first and last name
- Job title pulled from employee's profile on Workday
- Official department name
- Building and room number
- Employee's First and Last Name: Names only. Some exceptions may include generational suffixes (jr., sr., II, III, IV) and middle names and initials if it is part of your name.
- Job Titles Pulled from Employee's Profile on Workday:
- For all faculty: "Adjunct Faculty" for all adjuncts or "Faculty" for any professor position (assistant, associate, etc.). Staff employees will use their job titles listed on Workday.
- Employees with two job titles can only list one on their signage. They are to choose their primary job title and department.
- Official Department Name: Be sure to state your department name correctly. Refer to the Editorial Style Guide to verify the name.
- Building and Room Number: All enclosed spaces with walls and doors, should have a room number. Cubicles usually do not have a room number and would have to be verified by Facilities Management.

Desk Name Plates:
If your department needs self-standing name plates for your employees' desks (such as a reception area), use this template from Adobe Express.
If you have trouble accessing this template, email brand@byuh.edu. It's made available to all BYU–Hawaii students and employees.
How to Order
- Purchase the 10 x 2 name plate from Amazon.
- Print the file(s). When you use the template, download the file with crop marks and bleeds. You can either print them using your office's color printer or send them to print at Print Services. We recommend printing them on card stock for durability.
- Put them on the desk! Place them where they'll make the most sense—where it's visible and serving its purpose communication-wise.
